  30.      HyperResearch was designed to replace those huge sheets of butcher paper college/high school students often use to organize their notes on.  Each note box has a button which takes you to a whole note card for that item.  You can enter text, make diagrams, etc. in that note card, and refer to it whenever you press the button (or access it from the message box).

  32.      The first thing you should do is type in all the topics you're going to be studying for your report in the spaces provided.  Then you can find some books that will be good resources, and put them in the vertical column.

  34.      Each box on the stack has a field for text entry, where you can record the general topic of the notes.  Then press the button, and type the specific notes in the larger note card.  It is recommended that you put the page number of the book where you found the information in the note card stack, so you can refer to the book if you have questions.

  36.      You can get a view of what your whole chart looks like by printing it, and then you can even fill in notes (in the boxes) without typing them in.

  38.      The disk icon on the main chart will take you to a hypercard stack of your choice, and the application icon will take you to an application of your choice.

  40.      If you get tired of the harpsichord noises, you can turn them off by (individually) changing their HyperTalk script.   Go to the user preferences card and press the left arrow, and change the level to Scripting,  then go back until you get to the HyperResearch stack.  Click on a button (one of the ones that makes the harpsichord sounds) and choose Button Info from the Objects menu.  Click the Script button, and find (in the script) where "Play 'harpsichord'" is written, and delete that line.  You have to do this to every button you wish to change.
